Burnt Out

Worked a booth at the market today and literally got burnt.  Massive sunburn.  WTF Florida sun!  How do you get me every time?  I put sunscreen on my arms and everything. Ughhhh.
But, Saturday was a bit more relaxing...
Wore this little vintage frock yesterday to go to tea with my mom and the girls.
I have a soft spot for baby blue.  I am not usually a pastel girl, but I do love pale blue.  It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.
I am listing it here.  The boat neck and rose print are perfection, but the cap sleeves are too girly for me.
I am getting so picky.  Like a picky old lady.  I guess I AM a picky old lady!
This is what I get when I tell the girls I'm going to snap a pic.  Give 'em a minute or two and the Sailor Moon poses start.  Seriously.
YUM!!  Notice the little DIY twisty flower ring Girl London made for herself?
More later when I not so tired.  Linking up to Patti's Visible Monday!

  1. Baby girls are so beautiful and cool (they like Sailor Moon!!!!). You do look like a bit of Alice with that soft blue dress and then what can be more lady-like than having tea with your girls and your mom.

  2. Adore the blue dress, hate sunburn!!! I get really distressed if I get burnt, even more so if the kids do as I never had sun protection as a child in the 70s (I used to rub coconut oil into my sister's back!!!!) and I'm paying the price now: 'gator skin. That shade of blue is so beautiful, I have a skirt in that colour that was gifted to me. I would never have picked it myself, but I wear it so much now! Your girls are absolutely precious and what a wonderful memory you have gifted them by taking them out for an exquisite tea!!! I must do that with The Stylist one day:). Big hugs, xoxoxo

  7. I think Girl London dwarfed by that mega dessert tray is a priceless photo! Her ring is spectacular.
I love you in pastel blue but picky is a good thing. Buh-bye blue.

  8. Look at the girlies, all dressed up and out for tea! All three of you are adorable.
Your pale blue floral dress is very pretty, the colour looks great on you, but I know what you mean, if something isn't right about it, then it's best to move it on. That isn't being picky, it's sensible!
Take care in that hot hot Florida sun! xxxx

  9. The girlies are gorgeous and so are you in baby blue! That dress is pretty but if it isn't doing it for you than it has to go!
I'd give anything to feel the sun on my skin - fancy a swap? x

  11. I guess certain skin tone get burn easily. I instead get tan easily, too tan for my taste sometime! Regardless, SPF is a must to all of us, me especially living in the middle east where the sun gets really HOT! Sweet dress by the way!

  19. Your girly-whirlies are so pretty even with their cheeky kid poses.
The dress is lovely and indeed very Alice-esque. I love girly dresses but I have to be in the mood so that I can wear it with the right girly attitude otherwise they just don't look right.
Sunburn is pants, I always slap on factor 50 cause I have burnt myself something rotten in the past. When I was working out in Spain, I fell asleep on the beach after a nights hardcore partying. I had a towel draped over my legs and when I awoke an hour or so later my legs were striped white & red raw burnt...it was horrid!

  25. AAwww I'm sorry about the sunburn. I burn like crazy with and without sunscreen. I feel the exact same about light blue, I especially like pairing it with black and white stripes for whimsical Alice-feel.
